Product Description

1.1   General instruction of machine

MQJK84160×60 CNC Roll Grinding Machine is designed and manufactured by own which based on the producing technical of roll grinding machine from Germany, it is a high efficiency, a high precision, a safety use and a reliable roll grinding machine.

The machine is suit for grinding working roll and back-up roll in metallurgical industry,  and rolls in paper making industry, every pressure roll in rubber industry, and every metal and non metal pressure roll in printing and dyeing industry.
Every CNC axis of machine equipped with SIEMENS fully digital control AC servo motor, high-performance 6RA80 from SIEMENS imported with original packaging and Z4 DC motor driving from Shanghai Nanyang.
Main hydraulic parts (pump, valve)are ATOS products from Italy.

1.4   Performance rate of machine

1.4.1   Working time of machine

Normal working time per working day is 21 hours for machine.

1.4.2 Adjusting time of machine

Adjusting time is about 1.5 hours per working day for machine( such as checking the lubricants level, filling oil manually to lubricating points per
working time, replacing wheel (if necessary), cleaning machine etc. And, it will take about 0.5 hour/time to replace steadyrest)

1.4.3 Maintaining (total and middle) per year and faults time

-Machine should be maintained regularly in normal performance, and regular maintaining could be adjusted according to the facts of machine, the time for maintenance(stop the machine) is about 5-7 days per year.
-The machine should be middle maintained in case of normal operation about 4- 5 years, which is mainly for adjusting and recovering the machine's accuracy, and will take 25-30 days/time.
The middle maintain is mainly for the test accuracy of installation, and also for checking and replacing every transmission shaft and bearing; Checking and debugging electrical system; Replacing the hydraulic parts and pipes; Replacing the guideway with Teflon if needed, which is for aligning and correcting the accuracy of the guideway (only for reference)

2.1 Main controlling axes definition of machine

From the drawings indicating above, main six control axes controls a complete CNC Roll Grinding Machine, two of them is main transmission axis,
they are:
C1-axis - spindle of grinding wheel driving;
C-axis - work-piece rotating;
The others are servo driving axis:
Z-axis - Carriage longitudinal movement;
X-axis - wheel carriage movement;
U-axis - grinding head micro feeding (curve grinding);
 

2.2 Structure and function for mechanical part

2.2.1 Bed

Two (2)-bed casting design, work side bed casting with headstock base, short distance between adjustable wedge shoes: Machine maintains its accuracy over a long period because rigid and separated beds ensure that there is no influence on the carriage bed when loading heavy workpieces on the workpiece bed.
- "Walk-on" telescopic way covers (when the carriage is stationary): Guideways are protected from harsh external environment; i.e. splashing water, dirt particles, etc.
- The two beds are of V-flat guide-ways with rectangle and trapezoidal type construction.

2.2.2 Carriage(Z-axis)

Hydrostatic lubrication of longitudinal and cross guideways: No friction, therefore, no wear. Ensures the highest, long-term accuracy, within 0.005-0.01mm floating amount for carriage.
- Longitudinal feeds: 50-4000 mm/min, infinitely driven by 1FT7 AC servo motor.
- Carriage longitudinal movement is driven by AC servo motor (SIEMENS) via gear box and rack (from ATLANTA) for transmission, and mounted on the grinding wheel bed.
- Pulse encoder and precision eccentric sleeve of spindle realized linkage control to ensure grinding accuracy of curves.

2.2.3 Curves grinding mechanism (U-axis)

Hydro static eccentric sleeve mechanism used to realize curves grinding. Via a reducer (ATLANTA) to rotate the ball screw by a AC servo motor from Siemens, so as curve grinding is realized. Pulse encoder used for position ring. At same time, the curves grinding mechanism also has protecting function while power cut off, which could ensure the grinding wheel away from the surface of the workpiece by 1mm in case of cutting off of power, faults happen and press the emergency stop button, so as to ensure effectively the safety of the personnel and the device. The revolution of reset is 0.001mm when the machine is in the state of grinding again.

2.2.4 Cross Feed of wheel head (X-axis)

The V-flat guideway for cross feeding used with hydrostatic plastic pasted, good anti-vibration and good anti-overturn performance. Using SIEMENS AC servo motor via ball screw to get movement infinitely for cross feed of wheel head, high sensitive and stable traveling.
2.2.5Grinding wheel spindle system The spindle bearing of grinding wheel applied with hydro-dynamic/static bearing structure. The spindle in the best rigid hydro-dynamic/static pocket which has high rotating precisions and rigidity. This spindle bearing could meet the requirements of rough grinding, fine grinding and finish grinding.

2.2.6 Headstock


The spindle of grinding wheel driven by 6RA80 SIEMENS to drive Z4 motor from Nanyang Shanghai via v-belt to rotate the workpiece, driving stable and no shaking. Faceplate with floating driver: non -restrictive driving of rolls provides for optimum work surface finish. Lubrication way is hand pump grease lubricating.
The headstock could be cross moved by manually and adjusted automotive.

2.2.7 Tailstock

Tailstock can move along the guideway of workpiece bed, from the hand wheel through a pair of worm gear reducing to the gear rack, make the tailstock moving along the workpiece bed. According to the length of the workpiece, the tailstock is moved to the required position and fixed on the bed.
The center quill could also move within the range of 100mm. The hand wheel via a pair of gear and screw nuts to make the center quill moving axially, and when it is moved to the desired position, the center quill is locked.

The dresser mounted in upper side of tailstock with diamond, using the dressing pen with diamond to dress the grinding wheel.

2.2.8 Common steadyest

To accommodate with different journal, each steady rest is equipped with various specification supporting blocks for supporting working rolls for grinding. The Pads' location of steadyrest is adjusted by special measuring instrument for measuring pads' size, and the adjustment of the horizontal and the location of perpendicular supporting block is adopted with screw or slider for regulating. Casting the Babbitt to the pad, and lubricating with diluted oil which lubricant flows could be regulated; lubricating oil be collected and recycled which is to be reused by oil-water separator automatically.
 

2.2.9 Dresser for grinding wheel

The dresser of machine mounted inside of tailstock, it composed with a diamond pen, a norm block for measuring surface and a base plate, simple structure, good rigidity for dressing.

2.2.10 operating panel

Equipped with a screen, current meter, speed gauge for G.W, headstock and carriage on the operation panel, with a hand-held operating unit, which easy to operate.

2.2.11 Dismount and mount for G.W

Supply a set of static balancer of G.W with machine to static balance the grinding wheel. Supply a set of special lifting tools for removing and mounting the G.W with machine, which is easy for professional personnel to disassembly and install the grinding machine.

2.3 Structure designing features for hydraulics and cooling of machine

There are three systems in hydraulic part of machine, they are: hydro-dynamic/static lubrication system for spindle bearing, protecting device of cutting off for wheel head; hydro-static lubrication system for guideway of G.W's guideway; jaw's lubrication system for steadyrest. Each system has own independent oiling device. The function described as below:

2.3.1 Lubrication and hydraulics system for spindle of machine

Transmission system of spindle lubrication and measuring beam hydraulics
- Accumulator could fill oil to the spindle when the machine is stopped to avoid the jaws damaged.

The system using L-HM46 anti grinding hydraulic oil. the oil temperature of oil box is controlled by automatic constant temperature controller within in 30~40°C .
- The oiling pressure, oil temperature and cleanness degree could be inspected separately through pressure gauge, oil temperature inspector and oil filter, and the faults indicated by alarming.
- Oiling of the hydraulic system of measuring beam part is same oiling source. The actions carried out included mainly: the measuring arms of probe tips A and B upturned by 90°;
- The probe tips A and B contact with or away from the work piece, and are away from the work piece automatically when the grinding wheel is power off.
- Action of upturn of the measuring arms could be self locked.
- Back oil of the spindle bearing lubrication and the measuring beam hydraulics flowed into the back oil tank.
- The oil is drawn out automatically back to the oil box by a gear pump via a hydraulic-level switch and a delay.
- Guideway lubrication of the measuring beam used a hand pump, once an eight working hours

2.3.2 Lub. System for hydrostatic guideway of carriage and grinding carriage

The system using gear pump for oiling, which motor power for oiling is 0.37KW, the most amount of oil is 4.1ml/r; and which working pressure of system is 0.7-1.0MPA. Pressure gauge with electric contact is inspecting to system pressure, the system will alarm to stopping machine if the pressure over the rated value. The oil outlet of oil pump mounted with a precision oil filter which accuracy of oil filtering is 10um. When the pressure gauge with electric contact is alarming, the filtering core of oil filter should be checked or replaced.
The guideway o f grinding wheel bed has 48 points of hydrostatic lubrication, 30 lubricating points for carriage bed, 18 lubricating points for wheel head. The hydrostatic floating amount of carriage guideway is 0.01mm, and the floating amount of hydrostatic guideway is not over 0.003-0.005mm.

2.3.3 Lubrication system for jaws of steadyrest

The lubricating system for jaws of steadyrest and spindle bearing used one oil box together, but the oil tank is separated. Using L-Hl68 hydraulic oil, gear pump for oiling by 2.0ml/r, power of motor with 0.12KW, the lubricating amount of jaws could be adjusted singly by throttle separator.
The system also included with lubrication of tailstock and digital force indicator mounted on the sleeve end-side for inspecting the clamping force of centers easily.

2.3.4  Cooling system

- Coolant tank and magnetic roll and paper filter adopt. Water filtered by a magnetic separator, which flows 300L/min.
- The other two pumps with 3-phase, AB-200, 200L/min flows are used, one for grinding area via water pipe to nozzle on the grinding wheel cover, and another one for flushing the foundation pit.
- Diving pump which amount with 25M3/hour is for drainage as for replacing the coolant in the cooling tank.

2.4 CNC system configuration and function.

Attachment 4 Working range in designing and installing responded by buyer and seller

 

4.1  Documents supplied by customer

All rolls drawings for grinding in details;
Grinding requirement, incl.: accuracy and stock amount;
If necessary, supply the ground properties for machine, like water level of underground, foundation resistance etc;
Color of machine or color standard of paint.

4.2  Designing examination

MQJK84160CNC Roll Grinding Machine is manufacturer's stable products, in order to satisfy requirement and make plays benefit as soon as possible, we recommend that buyer should send personnel to manufacturer's site for designing examination. The examination time is within 2 months after the contract comes into effect usually.
The travel expenses of the personnel for design examination and pre-inspecting should be borne by the buyers, the seller should provide the traffic, communication and accommodation with convenient in the city.

4.3  Working range for installing machine responded by buyer

Buyer should make well foundation in accordance with foundation
drawings provided from seller; the maintaining time for machine foundation is not less than 28 days. The steel plate cover should cover the foundation pit. The machine room should be completed grouting compound, and transport the machine to the erection site.
After machine is installed in site and leveled roughly, the second grouting should be made by Buyer. 
Water, power supply connected to the site.
Crane with a capacity of min. 25tons, including coupling devices, operating personnel, and lifting cables.
Auxiliary material necessary for the operation of the machine, e.g. general tools, clean oil and rolls and grinding wheel for test running.

The workpiece surface should be brightly and smoothly after grinding, surface defects such as spiral grain, chatter, bright mark, spot etc., which are not normally found by visual inspection. When finishing grinding, the roughness is related with grinding wheel used, coolant, roll material & hardness and certain technological data.
Roll should be supported on the steady rest for grinding. For get ideal grinding accuracy, the roundness of the roll journal must be higher than grinding accuracy of the machine.

 

7.2  Erection and acceptance of machine

Seller is in charge of erection supervision and test run for machine, the damaged parts occurred in installing processing will be replaced or renewed by Seller in time. After the erection prepare work of Buyer is ready, the Buyer should notice seller sending experienced technical person to open and check the packing box with Buyer at once, following the end of the event, tests will be carried out.
Before erection, two parties should re-inspect the erection quality of foundation, and the machine can be erected but approved. The further test runs, using loaded machine will be conducted to demonstrate that the operation of the machine is in accordance with the Operation manual, Test Certification and the Contract specification. The period of erection and test are about 45 days.

7.2.1   Pre-acceptance (carried out at the manufacturer's site)

Seller guarantees the all equipment and functions delivered to buyer that will achieve the designed requirement and satisfy the standards of construction of units of machine. This machine has been pre-tested and found to be qualified for delivery.
Before ex works, Buyer has the right to send personnel to seller's site for pre-acceptance, the pre-acceptance includes the contents as following:
  1. 16 hours for test running without loading
  2. Testing main specifications
  1. Performance test for machinery, electrics and hydraulics and main functions
  2. Geometric accuracy test
  3. Operation accuracy test
Grinding for testing the cylindrical barrel and camber of roll, roundness, cylindricity and roughness must be reached to the specification of the contract.
Roundness, cylindricity and roll shape error are measured by measuring device; roughness is measured by rough meter.
To grind a straight roll (that is cylindrical grinding), and a roll with camber (that is curves grinding) when pre-acceptance is done.
Traveling expensed and costs for pre-acceptance personnel will be borne by the Buyer, the Seller will supply the convenience of local traffic,
communication and food.
7.2.2 Final acceptance

7.2.2.1 Installing of machine

The machine will be carried out the same specified items after the erection and test works are completed in the Buyer's factory. And after the final acceptance is up to grade, the machine will be in quality guarantee period for one year, and the Seller will provide excellent service free of charge for the Buyer while the machine has the quality problem in quality guarantee period.
7.2.2.2 Final acceptance indexes and performance parameters of the grinding machine.
After the installation is complete, perform the following tests:
All geometric accuracy in the grinder installation shall be checked and accepted according to the requirements of << test certificate >>, and each geometric accuracy indicator shall be signed and confirmed by relevant personnel of the buyer before the next installation.
The final acceptance of the grinding machine shall be carried out according to the specifications and parameters in this agreement,. And the parameters, specifications and scope of the grinding machine shall be tested.
Check the safety protection and interlock function of grinding machine, automatic back protection function of grinding wheel when power is cut off,emergency stop function, fault display and diagnosis, etc.
Test the grinding machine drive system, instrument, hydraulic, lubrication and cooling system, all parts must work normally, no oil leakage, oil temperature and bearing temperature should not exceed the normal value.
7.2.2.3 Visual examination
The appearance of the grinding machine must be clean, free from defects and corrosion, completely painted, and the piping and cable wiring should be orderly and firm.
7.2.2.4 Test and acceptance of the machine
After the installation and debugging of the equipment is completed, both parties shall immediately carry out the acceptance work when the acceptance conditions are met. The acceptance work includes no-load test, load test and grinding acceptance test.
The entire acceptance memorandum is based on the acceptance results of each step. Both parties shall record each acceptance result and confirm that each step of acceptance meets the acceptance standards specified in this annex. The test shall be confirmed as successful and qualified. Both parties shall sign and confirm the acceptance results before the next phase of testing can be started.

7.2.2.5 Working accuracy test

Grinding rollers, cylindrical surfaces and medium and high curved

surfaces within the working range of the machine provided by the buyer.
All the performance of the machine tools shall be qualified after the machine tools meet the requirements specified in the contract, and the final acceptance report shall be signed by both parties. After the final acceptance, the product will enter the warranty period. During the warranty period, due to product quality problems, the seller will provide you with free quality services.

Attachment 10 Training and technical service of Seller's personnel

In order to let buyer operate rapidly the machine, seller should train 2 operators free of charge, one for machinery, another for electrical, also to increase or decrease the person's number according to the fact of buyer .
The Buyer's technical workers to be trained on job site should has practical working experience in similar factory for more than 3 years, and the maintenance personnel should has more than the degree of technical
secondary school.
The training of buyer's personnel will take place on site during the installation and testing period of the machine in the Buyer's plant. Training duration is about 2 weeks.
Training course is construction of machine, working principle, operation instructing, grinding technological and maintenance. The personnel for training must operate the machine in practice, and can grind general flat roll and camber roll, till the personnel for training can operate machine and judge and handle common fault
The travel cost of the training personnel should be borne by buyers, the seller should provide the traffic, communication and accommodation with convenient in the city. During erection and testing period at buyer's site, the operator and maintenance personnel can practice together.
 

Attachment 11 Quality Assurance

11.1 Seller's commitment to quality assurance
We guarantee that all parts of the machine are the newest designed and made of new material; the quality guarantee period of the whole machine is 12 months after the final acceptance of the machine. If there are parts found to be defective due to defects in normal operation during the quality guarantee period, these parts will be replaced or maintained free of charge, but the damage of parts for which buyer's is held to be responsible are not applied.
According to user's requires, we will provide maintaining replacement and spare parts as more good service and favorable price.

Attachment 12  Painting, package and transportation

12.1 Painting of machine

Painting material: according with relative technical standard of state.
Colour of machine confirmed and supplied by buyer.

12.2  Packing of machine

To be packed in strong wooden case(s)/carton(s) suitable for long distance ocean transportation and well protected against dampness, moisture, shock. The Sellers shall be liable for damage to the goods on account of improper packing, and in such case or cases the losses and/or expenses incurred in consequence thereof shall be borne by the Sellers excepted by Insurance.
The equipment before delivery should be antirust processing according to relevant national standards requirements, the packing case should satisfy the long-distance transportation, numerous handling and storage requirements. The packing case should be solid, firmly, anticorrosive, moisture proof, anti-theft.
The wear parts, special lifter, professional tools and spare parts etc.
should be packed individually in the packing case, and marked and typed with main machine name and the wear part for installing and commissioning.
The goods mark should be executed according to the rules for goods on cargo transport. Each box will indicate "the seller, a buyer, equipment name and model, manufacturing date" such words.
The seller should be in charge of repair, replacement or additions in case of equipment lost, defect, mildew, rust, damp and wrong delivery caused by the packing case is not well or unclear mark.
